Thanks for the input on modifying update_attributes. I had a problem where whiny nil's couldn't delete a nil object. I added a condition checking for that and it worked like a charm.

Hi,

I know this is an old post, but did you happen to create these encrypted paypal buttons on wordpress pages? If so, do you have any tips on how to convert the StellarWebSolutions.com script (which I have functioning on an html page outside of WP) to function w/in wordpress? There is a very limited amount of info available on the subject, which I find odd considering WP is probably the most popular platform these days.

Anyway, nice post. It is definitely important to have ALL the variables set for the right environment (sandbox vs live). I was using the wrong certificate ID and the wrong form action for a while until I figured that out.

Encountered the same error - however I had a look at the documentation on GoogleCode and to reproduce the problem:
1. Include tags in head
2. Include tags in body
3. try to load page in IE6.

I tried the defer trick but that didn't work. Instead I simply placed the registerObject script inside the body of the page. Booyah. I suspect I had placed that line in the wrong place in the document all along...

Hey

having an oddproblem where the second of two swf objects doesnt work. the page turns blank. The top banner on the url above works but the middle one, appears for a while (loading) then vanishes. I tried all sorts. Have a look at sourcecode of page. Only in IE 6 there is a problem. Its SWFObject 2.0. Thankful for any clues !

Unusual Fact I was ranking number 26 on google for my target phrase which is free fun surveys.All of a sudden I was number 4 with no website changes then the next day back to spot 26.I was puzzled then another day I checked and was back up at number 8 after weeks back at spot 26.I was really puzzled then I think I figured it out I have an auto tweet poster tweet whistle.I had left in on posting tweets on auto for 2 days.My thinking is when this thing is posting auto tweets with my website address for some reason I zoom in google rankings and just so you know I am not selling tweet whistle.My preliminary thinking is posting tweets regularly with your url of course not shortened increases search engine ranking a bunch.

Last time. I posted the problem in a Dutch forum. Instead of your fix you can solve it much easier.

Just place the

swfobject.registerObject(”myId”, “9″, “”);

Under the div you want your Flash in or just above to be safe. Works in IE6, no other fix needed and even Firefox is happy with that solution. Hope it works for you as well.

Just a little note, seems that Firefox 3.5.2. doesn't show the swfobject now. Sorry. I know you hate me now ;) I'm more a designer than programmer so can't fix it for you.
